The North West fifth administration is through its economic philosophy making strides to address matters of socio-economic concern hampering development in many localities across the length and the breadth of the province. This is important if the province wants to overhaul the country’s economic structure as informed by the imbalances of the past.
By focusing on Arts, Culture & Tourism the Board seeks to create economic opportunities for the marginalised and downtrodden. Gambling which is aligned to tourism remains central to the development of the province.
This is to ensure that the people of Bokone-Bophirima reap the benefits of the Gambling Industry through various means. The creation of a Socio-Economic Development Fund is aimed at reaching out to poverty stricken communities and since its inception it has carried-out a number of projects, such as school sanitary towels projects, Masutlhe housing project, a bursary scheme and as well as School Shoes Project.
The Board would like to express its appreciation to the premier of the North West province, Honourable Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo, the MEC of Department of Finance, Economy and Enterprise Development, Honourable Wendy Nelson, Licensees of the North West Gambling Board, members of the Board, management and staff for their participation and their hard work in the activities and programmes of the Board.
