In the heart of Vryburg, the North West Department of Economic Development, Conservation, Environment & Tourism played host to the highly anticipated Lobelo la Dipitsi Traditional Horse Racing event, proudly presented by the North West Gambling Board. The air was electric as the MEC of DEDECT congratulated the valiant riders and their majestic steeds on a day of thrilling competition, marking a triumphant celebration of community, culture, and sport.
As the crowd held its collective breath, five heart-stopping races unfolded, each showcasing the skill, strategy, and unwavering bond between horse and rider. Emerging victorious were:
Race 1: The unstoppable duo of Maximus and owner Lloyd
Race 2: Rock My Soul, expertly guided by Matsego Satang
Race 3: Hlankanisa, proudly owned by Siphumile
Race 4: Roction, skillfully ridden by Tsupa
Race 6: Bar One, ably partnered by Phenyo
The Premier of the North West, Lazarus Mokgosi, hailed the event as a groundbreaking initiative, poised to propel local economies through tourism, foster community growth, and forge lasting regional relationships.
